Little Taquita's story is one we will likely see more and more. Dad was detained unexpectedly. Mom and the infant and toddler were left to prepare for deportation. The neighbors were understandably upset that this was happening to their hardworking family man of a neighbor on a tight Philly block. Taquita would need to be rehomed and that's where stepped in to help.

Taquita was terrified when she arrived. We took our time and gave her the space and love she needed. She's come around beautifully and is so sweet and lovely and ready for the next big step: Adoption!
